The Stomper is a unique Czech marionette which was part of every traditional puppet show in the 18th and 19th centuries. You still find them in contemporary performances and they surprise audience members of all ages.

Find out the secrets of how to design and construct this unusual marionette. After the workshop, make your own with our "recipe" including instructions on how to make a simple version.
Here you can see some historic pictures of Stompers from the Chrudim Museum of Puppets. As you can see, they sometimes had two faces or little puppets that could pop out of their heads.
WHAT ARE PUPPET RECIPES?
To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are creating a new subscription series: Puppets Recipes. Every month we have live workshops on Zoom where you get a "recipe" with instructions on how to build a different kind of puppet.
