About the Workshop

We are launching our 2024-2025 season with a FREE workshop that is an introduction to our new Puppet Technology Video Course. Find out more about it in the video course section of our website. This first, free session will talk about everything you need to carve a marionette. What wood is best for carving and controllers, what chisels we recommend, how to organize your space, how to carve safely. At our NEW 6 month course, you can learn to create a marionette with professional-quality technology. It is designed with a combination of recorded videos, regular live consultations on Zoom homework and Mirek's beloved diagrams to explain every step. We will maintain the personal Puppets in Prague approach that our students like so much but also allow students to work asynchronously to accommodate students of all time zones. The course is closely based on our new book, Puppet Technology, which came out in January 2024 and is inspiring people around the world.
