About the Workshop

Be part of an exclusive tour to the European Regions Festival in Hradec Kralove, one of the largest theatre festivals in the Czech Republic. The festival program always includes top Czech and international puppet performances, and it is co-hosted by the legendary Drak Puppet Theatre. You can choose to come for the 1-day tour or the 3-day tour. Both will be led by Puppets in Prague co-founder Leah Gaffen. 1-day tour: See 3 puppet shows at the European Regionals Festival. Get an exclusive tour of the Drak Puppet collection and see the incredible artistic quality of the puppets from their past shows, ranging from the 1960s to the present. Walk around the beautiful historic town of Hradec Kralove, which has been a stronghold in the tradition of puppetry for centuries. 3-day tour: Spend two days at the European Regions festival and soak up the evening program as well as shows all day. You will spend the third day in Chrudim, a charming city in Eastern Bohemia with a stunning puppet museum. The museum was founded in 1972 thanks to the long-running tradition of puppetry in the town, which hosts the longest -running puppet festival in the world. WORKSHOP FEE 1-day trip: 100 Euros (price includes transportation, tickets to shows, museum tour) 3-day trip: 450 Euros (price includes accommodations in Hradec Kralove for 2 nights, all transportation costs, tickets to shows, entrance to museums). Payment to be made upon acceptance to the workshop. CANCELLATION POLICY The deposit is nonrefundable. If you cancel a more than 1 month before the start of the workshop, you can transfer the deposit to another PIP workshop ; you will be charged a 200 Euro fee and you will be charged for the price of the new workshop if the price changes. If for any reason PIP needs to cancel the course, you will get a full refund minus the bank transfer fees.
